Members of the Red Cedar Book Club are warming up to good books! Beginning Feb. 1, this book club, exclusive to gr. 5 students, will read 24 nominated fiction and non-fiction titles by Canadian authors. Every Wednesday we will meet to book talk, write on-line reviews, play games, create book trailers, and, of course, have a snack! In April the group will vote on their favorite title in each category. The culminating event will be our Red Cedar Jeopardy game where the book club members compete against each other by answering questions on the books. There will be prizes, and the top three winners will win tickets to the Red Cedar Gala where they will meet many of the authors and where the winners of the of the best Canadian Book of the Year is announced.
